Marketing + Fundraising Hackathon

for the Olympics + Paralympics

March 7, 2021 on Zoom

We’re looking for digital marketing, athletics and fundraising professionals who are willing to give their time to a good cause. All backgrounds, experiences, industries, and skill levels welcome!

What’s a Hackathon?

Don’t know what a hackathon is? Interested but not sure how it works?

We’ve got you covered – all you need to bring is yourself! With the pandemic continuing to impact organizations everywhere, we wanted to put our digital skills to use, so we teamed up with an Olympics and Paralympics project to help “hack”/solve one of their digital marketing problems for them.

Why Attend? Who Should Attend? What Will be Covered?

Don’t know what a hackathon is? Interested but not sure how it works? We’ve got you covered – all you need to bring is yourself! With the pandemic continuing to impact organizations everywhere, we wanted to put our digital skills to use, so we teamed up with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum to help “hack”/solve one of their digital marketing challenges for them.

How It Works

The hackathon will take place over the course of a day. You will be put into a hackathon team based on the skills/experience you bring to the table, and what the organizations we’re giving back to need. Before the event, you’ll receive a project brief that outlines the organization’s ask; no need to do anything other than review it. The day of, you’ll virtually meet with Call Two Action, your hackathon team, then spend a few hours with your team brainstorming a plan. At the end of the hackathon, you’ll present the plan to the judges. :) To make things just a little more fun, we’re bringing in a panel of judges with high-level digital marketing, athletics and fundraising experience. They will select a “winning” team (even though you’re all winners for giving back!) and that team will be presented with a prize.

Excited yet?

We hope so! Registration costs $5 to cover the costs of running the Hackathon. All remaining funds are shared with conference speakers as a profit-sharing venture.
